His Emotions

Nathan has a great hold on his emotions. He doesn't over due anything except affections which I'm not complaining about ; ) He's very steady. Which is great because I'm like a raft in a raging storm - Jesus is my anchor <3 Hebrews 6:19

The chapter talked about anger and depression. Stormie goes on to say that any negative emotions can torment the soul. And that they are often only an habitual way of thinking that has been given place over time - but these patterns can be broken. Freedom in prayer.

     Dear Jesus, You redeem our souls when we put our trust in You (psalm 34:22). Help me to have faith in You to redeem my emotions. Help me to not be controlled by them and to be delivered from them. Anoint me through the "oil of Joy" (Isaiah 61:3) and stand guard at the threshold of my mind. Amen.

Psalm 40:1-3 (New International Version, ©2010)

    For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. 1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
   he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
   out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
   and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
   a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the LORD
   and put their trust in him.
