His Relationships

-- Every married couple should have at least two strong believing couples with them whom they can share encouragement, strength, and the rightness of their lives. -- It's edifying, enriching, balancing, and fulfilling.
I'm really going to have to start praying about this. I've been feeling like something missing in this area, and I think it's our faults: we're such home-bodies! That being said, there are two couples down here in Stow that I really like. They are simply awesome people and I love being around them. They're godly, and positive, and I hope there's more time in the summer because it's been awhile :(

"Being good friends with godly people who love the Lord doesn't just happen by chance. We must pray that such people will come into our lives. And when we find them, we should continue to cover the relationships in prayer."

We should also pray for our hubbys to have godly friends. Iron sharpens iron, and they can be a support system (Proverbs 27:17;9).

Nate's a total introvert and doesn't have a lot of time so never hangs out with the guys. I'd rather have him at home anyway, but I don't want to realize this was the wrong choice in the future. I'll pray that God brings strong Christ-like men into Nate's life whom he can connect with and bond.

Dear Jesus, I pray for Nathan to have good, godly men in his life with whom he can share his heart. I pray that they are trustworthy men of wisdom who will speak truth into his life. Show him the importance of godly friendships and help me encourage him to sustain them. Give us believing couples whom we can feel comfortable sharing our lives. Help him in any relationships that aren't right and if they are, help me to not push him to change something. I pray that I will be counted as his best friend and that our friendship with one another will continue to grow, Show him what it means to be a true friend and enable him to be one. Amen.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (New International Version, ©2010)

24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
