His Integrity

"Integrity is not what you appear to be when people are watching but who you are when no one's around."

Integrity is
  • Letting your "yes mean yes and your no mean no" - No verbal games. Matthew 5:37
  • Doesn't play both sides of the fence to try to please everyone.
  • Aiming to please God not men. - Luke 16:15
  • Doing what's right, even when it hurts. Psalm 15:4
  • Standing strong even in tough situations.
  • Honest.
I believe with my entire heart that Nate does and is all of these things. He truly is an honest, upright, no-nonsense kind of guy. I can definitely pray that that continues and that maybe I'll get there too ; )

Moreso, I can pray for the opposition he will face and that he will be able to stand strong in it. Fighting the enemy that seeks to snare him, blind him, and keep him from making that decision. And when he does make the right choice, I can pray that he be shielded from anything that causes him to doubt and waver, giving him the strength to do what's right - no matter what.

"The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him." - Proverbs 20:7
I feel so blessed that a pray that he will be the picture my children get to look to of what a good man looks like. Like I did with my dad :)

Dear Jesus, I pray that You build Nathan up to be a man of Your standards. Help him to do what's right without hesitation and give him a teachable spirit that is willing to listen to the voice of wisdom and grow in Your ways. Help him to walk in Your Spirit's truth at all times. Stay close to him so that in times of truth he can act in confidence. Where he is faltering I pray that you open his eyes and keep him from living a lie in any way. Bind mercy and truth on his neck and right them on the tablet of his heart so that he will find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:3-4)

A man who walks in integrity walks securely (Proverbs 10:9) because his integrity leads him into the presence of God (Psalm 41:12)
