His Repentance

Everyone makes mistakes. - that's not the issue.
The problem is that there is an epidemic in the world today of people who can't admit they did something wrong. God promises to forgive us and cleans us from all unrighteousness(1 John 1:9), but first we have to be sorry about what we've done.

3 steps to changing our behavior

  1. Confession - admitting what we did.
  2. Repentance - being sorry about it.
  3. Asking for Forgiveness - being cleans and released from what we did.

"The inability or resistance to do any of these three things is rooted in pride. A man who can't humble himself will have problems in his life that never go away."

The Bible says that there is more hope for a fool than for a man who is wise in his own eyes - Proverbs 26:12

"True repentance means having so much remorse over what you've don that you don't do it again. Only God can cause us to see our sin for what it is and feel about it the same way He does."

"The Goodness of God leads you to repentance." - Romans 2:4

Repentance is a working of God's grace, and we can pray for it to be worked in our hearts and our husbands

     Dear Jesus, I pray that You would conflict our hearts of any error in our lives. Let there be "nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known" (Matt 10:26). Cleans us from any hidden sins and keep us to be people who are quick to confess when we're wrong (Psalm 19:12). Bring us to full repentance. May our suffering be from a remorseful heart and not by the hand of the enemy. Help us to live in honesty with You so that You can have full control over our lives.

Psalm 139:23-24 (New International Version 1984, ©1984)

 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
   test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
   and lead me in the way everlasting.

2 Timothy 2:24-26 (New International Version 1984, ©1984)

24 And the Lord’s servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
