His Protection

This is the area I feel I should be a lot more frequent about. On a daily basis. I worry about something happening to Nate, and I pray when I worry, but it's not a habitual request or petition on Nathan's behalf.

The enemy seeks to destroy Nathan and I and wreak havoc on our relationships and lives. God promises that even though the "wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him, the Lord will not leave him in his hand." (Psalm 37: 32,33) And that He will be a "shield to those who put their trust in Him" (Proverbs 30:5).

I can pray in faith for Nate to be protected while driving, while at work, walking down the street; asking Jesus to keep him from harm. Knowing that God could call Nate home, at least I could be comforted by knowing that I invited God's presence and power into the midst of it.

Dear Jesus, I pray that You protect Nathan from any accidence, diseases, dangers, or evil influences. Keep him save and hide him from violence and the plans of evil people. When he walks, secure his steps. Keep him on Your path so that his feet don't slip. Hold him up by Your mercy. I pray that You remain his fortress, shield, and stronghold as he dwells under Your wings. I pray that even though bad may happen around him, that he is protected (Psalms 91:7). Save him from any plans the enemy seeks to history his life. Guide his coming and his going both now and forever more. Amen.

Psalm 18:2-3

2The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
3I call upon the LORD, who is(A) worthy to be praised,
and I am saved from my enemies.
