His Wife

"Sometimes wife sabotage their own prayers because they don't pray from a right heart."

God's Favorite 3-word prayer: "Change me, Lord."
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear -Psalm 66:18

Very true for me - There are so many things I'm not happy with when I look at myself I don't know where to start. I look and hear about incredible godly women and I feel worlds away from them. There's so much work I need to do. Ok, well, allow the Lord to do in me.
Plus, Nate is so good at being a hubby. Seriously, pre-marital counseling was amazing. I felt like it was more for me than for us  ; ) Not a bad thing, I'm blessed.

Prayer is the ultimate Love Language.
Pray melts and softens our hearts.
We're better able to hear God and better able to love others.
As I pray for Nathan the love I have for him in my heart will grow which will beget more prayer and the godly cycle continues. -responses, attitudes, feelings change and grow.

To Speak, or Not to Speak?
Put in your input so your husband knows - then pray after that.
"For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power" (1 Cor 4:20). God gives you the right words to say, but it's His power behind them that changes hearts. <3

Home Making :)
Two responsibilities: The home, and the children. Home needs to be a place of sanctuary and a mother should be mindful of her children. Contentment; Acceptance; Rejuvenation; Nurturing; Rest; Love; Communication and Creativity.
Also: stay sexually appealing, love your hubby through good cooking, and stay physically, emotionally, and mentally fit. - Jesus is our Helper. He can help us help our hubbys. He can empower us to keep the house clean; the laundry done; the kitchen in order; the pantry and refrigerator full; the beds made (Though I don't think this one matters ;)

"The world is hectic and chaotic, your home should be an escape from that." Revive our hearts

Home Keeping :)
He's the head; I'm the heart <3

Expectations
Let go of as many as possible.
For me the ones I've had to come to grips with are 1) Nate's not going to be home at 5:30. It's usually more around 7. Which sucks and I miss him, but I know he's doing it out of love for me and I'm extremely thankful for his job. So I try not to be too upset and do things to make it so I'm not bored or lonely without him there.
Also 2) he's very forgetful. I write everything in a planner and rarely forget or over-look things. When I do, I beat myself up. Not so with Nate, wow, he forgets a LOT. It's frustrating and mind-boggiling most times, but I knowing that he's probably going to forget has lowered my expectations and also caused me to think of ways to help him remember, which is beneficial . . . most times ; )
Either way, thinking about the good things, the things I love about him when those feelings start to arise does a lot to keep me from going overboard or being mean to him. <3

So I'll pray about it, but I'll keep my expectations on God and not Nathan (Psalms 62:5) and remember that only He can create lasting change (Ecc 3:14). :)

By the way, there are WAY worse things in the world and I'm not complaining, just trying to recognize and better the situation.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
God requires males to love and women to respect.
Failing to respect Nathan will lead to destruction:
Repremending David for dancing his is undies cost Michal motherhood (2 Same 6:16).
Refusing to come when called humiliated Queen Vashti's hubby and cost her her position as queen (Ester1:12).

I made up my mind that I would always be willing to be humiliated for Nathan. I think it's one of the best things I've come with for our marriage and it makes me feel like I really honor him. In turn, I also try really hard to not humiliate him and loose my place as queen of his heart.

The Biblical Model of a Good Wife
<3 Takes care of her home and runs it well.
<3 Knows how to buy and sell and make good investements.
<3 Keeps herself healthy and strong; dresses atractively.
<3 Works diligently and has marketable skills.
<3 Giving and conscientiously prepares for the future.
<3 Contribues to her husbands good reputation.
<3 Strong, solid, honorable.
<3 Doesn't sit around and do nothing but carefully watches over her home.
<3 Supports her husband and still has a fruitful life of her own which speaks loudly of itself.
<3 She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.

"Through wisdom a house is build, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches." Proverbs 24:3.4
