His Walk

His journey. His focus. His direction. The steps he takes.

God desires that we walk

  • with moral correctness (Ps. 84:11) - no good thing with God withold
  • without fault (Prov 28:18) - will be saved
  • with godly advisors (Ps 1:1) - blessed
  • in obedience (Ps 128:1) - blessed
  • with people of wisdom (Prov 13:20) - to become wise
  • with integrity (Prov 10:9) - for security
  • A Path of Holiness (Is. 35:8) - he will not be lead astray.

So in walking the Path of Holiness, even if we do something dumb, we won't get thrown off the path. Even if we foolishly run ahead of God or make a bad decision, if our hearts are turned toward him we get into trouble - not destruction.

Pray for your husband to find that path. Pray that he is guided by the Holy Spirit. Pray that he stays on the path by having faith in God's Word, a heart of obedience, and deep repentance for any actions he takes that are not God's will for his life.

"Faith and obedience will get him on the Highway of Holiness; walking in the Spirit, and not the flesh will keep him there."
"God desires that your husband's every step be lead by Him so that He can walk with him and grow him into His image. A man who walks with God is very desirable indeed."

Dear Jesus, I ask that You direct Nate's steps. I pray that he follows Your light and that You teach him Your way. I pray that he will have a deeper walk with you and an ever progressing hunger for Your Word. Reveal to him any hidden sin that would keep him from walking rightly before You. I pray that you enable Nate to wakl in the Spirit and not in the flesh. I pray that he bears the fruit of the Spirit and stays on the path of holiness so that You can influence every part of his life. I love You, Lord. Amen.

Isaiah 33:15-16 (New International Version, ©2010)

15 Those who walk righteously
   and speak what is right,
who reject gain from extortion
and keep their hands from accepting bribes,
who stop their ears against plots of murder
and shut their eyes against contemplating evil—
16 they are the ones who will dwell on the heights,
whose refuge will be the mountain fortress.
Their bread will be supplied,
and water will not fail them.

Psalm 15:1-2 (New International Version, ©2010)

1 LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
2 The one whose walk is blameless,
   who does what is righteous,
   who speaks the truth from their heart;
